What is Personal Training? One of the biggest misconceptions regarding personal training is that it is strictly for body builders or those interested in sports competition. People are often surprised to find that personal training can be tailored for all people, regardless of age, sex, condition, or goals. Personal training is an exercise program which is individualized for the participant to help him or her reach desired health-related goals. For each person, the programs are different because each person has different likes, dislikes, needs, and goals. For some people, goals may be to lose weight and tone up, while others may have goals related to pregnancy or to improve strength after finishing physical therapy. Older clients often need to relearn better balance and improve functional mobility to better perform daily living activities and maintain independence. I find there are 3
main reasons people enjoy a personal trainer: When you hire Wherever Wellness, LLC., I come to your home and, after an in-depth health and lifestyle history and discussion regarding your needs and goals, design an exercise program specifically for you. There are no two clients who are alike, so when people ask "What types of things do you do with your clients?" my answer is usually "Whatever their body needs--it's different for everybody."
