Testimonials _______________________ I am 65 and about 25 lbs. overweight due to joint problems. I found myself at a loss on how to proceed safely with a life change that I needed before it was too late and I spiraled into old age week and feeble. I had always belonged to a gym or some exercise group, so I knew what exercise can do for you. I had always been rail thin until I contracted a rare, debilitating immune disease in my 50's. To manage the pain, I had to take Prednisone. With that medication, I blossomed to 185 lbs. That weight lasted 5 years, and then it took me another 3 years to get down to 160 with diet and exercise. After a couple bad falls and 2 operations, I had inched up to 175 lbs. and now I am fighting my way back down. I feel it is necessary to see yourself and your trainer as a team working toward the same goal. Rebeca has been so encouraging, and our hour goes by quickly with her warmth and humor. She is down to earth with character and commitment. I feel renewed with a sense of well-being that was missing before. I have new strength, balance, and energy that makes me feel safer walking and doing all the things I still do on a daily basis. I work full time as an interior designer, and carrying those heavy wall-paper books, tile boards, and lots of samples is so easy when I train with weights. The rewards of answering to someone with what I put into my mouth keeps me focused, and I plan what and when I will eat. It's not easy, but certainly worth the small amount of time I take to make sure I eat healthily. I found the secret is to put yourself first, because as a woman we are the caregivers to everyone else, and even later in life we still put everyone else first in our lives instead of ourselves. God bless Rebeca for what she does and the lives she touches.

Rebeca Porter is a passionate and meticulously careful professional in her work. Her naturally positive "can-do" attitude is infectious, and I always look forward to our sessions together. Specifically, her customized plan for increased strength and wellness for me has markedly increased my core mobility and muscular fitness after just eight weeks so far. My workout routine with Rebeca is fairly intense, safety first, and has built-in biweekly pattern changes. Breathing, balance, and self-esteem are all markedly enhanced, and my tricky sciatic nerve is well now, too! Rebeca is a keen businesswoman and analyst of client status, as well. She excels on the inter-personal, psychological and physiological levels. She is thoughtful, always on time, and ready to work hard. I give, without hesitation, my highest recommendation of her to all. Working with Rebeca will changed your life!

I knew Rebeca about 6 months prior to working with her as my personal trainer. I had tried 3 or 4 trainers over the last 3 years to help me find the best way for me to lose and maintain my weight. Most were only focused on exercise, intensity, and frequency. When I met Rebeca, we had had discussions about my struggles with weight loss, and how I needed to focus on the "whole body experience," the food, the exercise, and my approach to all of it. After 16 sessions, I have made much progress with my food choices; I've eliminated most of the bad information I had been relying on, and I feel like I'm on the right track for continued success. Anyone who is struggling and wants professional advice, honest feedback, and great direction should choose Rebeca. She has a team of professional contacts who can really adapt and diagnose any issue as it relates to wellness. I will never search for another trainer again. I've found my solutions in Rebeca. Thank you for your dedication to your trade and your love of people.

I cannot thank Rebeca enough for what she has done for me. She has helped me discover just what I can push myself to do. She is encouraging but firm, and always motivated me to go "just a little further." I began working with her unable to do a decent push up and now I can bang out a couple sets of real ones. How cool is that? The nutritional portion of her training has helped me realize the benefit and the power of planning my meals. Doing so has left me time to do more fun things. Thank you, Rebeca.

Rebeca has the ability to bring fitness down to a personal level. Her approach challenges her clients based on their ability and needs, and she encourages achievable results. She is knowledgeable and always enthusiastic about your workout. I could not have found a better trainer.

Rebeca, I have to tell you how much I appreciate your dedication and perseverance in getting me back in shape. After a four month lapse, I went for a massage and my therapist was thrilled with my weight loss and great muscle tone I was developing. At 62, I'm in better shape now than I have been in for many years, and that's only after 3 months of working with you. Thank you so very much.

I began personal training with Rebeca shortly after surgery on my knee to repair a torn ACL. The surgery really set me back.....I lost energy, gained weight, and didn't think I would ever get motivated enough to begin a regular exercise routine. After just a few weeks after meeting with Rebeca twice a week, I began to feel stronger and much more stable, both physically and emotionally. Her enthusiasm, support, and genuine concern for my well-being made a huge difference in my recovery. I would highly recommend Rebeca's services to any woman who needs motivation, accountability, and a skilled, supportive trainer.

In August 2008, my husband and I learned that we were expecting our first child! My excitement was paired with fear as I realized I was starting my experience at a disadvantage. I was 40 lbs overweight at the start of my pregnancy. After looking up some exercise resources, I found Rebeca Porter and her company, Wherever Wellness. Rebeca started working with me when I was 8 weeks pregnant. Her expertise and knowledge in the field of fitness and nutrition have been pivotal in helping me realize a healthy pregnancy. Her patience and encouragement have given me the confidence to realize my goals and to look forward to giving birth and working on a post partum plan later this year. The ultimate complement came directly from my doctor. At 25 weeks he charted my weight gain – surprised that it was a mere 10 pounds (recommended weight gain for overweight patients is 15-25lbs). He stated that the average weight gain at 25 weeks was 17-19 lbs. I couldn’t have done it without Rebeca! Additionally – while the scale continues to creep up as I near my due date on May 5, my body fat has decreased by 3%. Rebeca is more than a physical trainer – she is a psychologist, a mentor, and a friend. I attribute 100% of my healthy pregnancy to the fitness regime Rebeca has developed for me along with all the nutritional advice she continues to instill in me. I cannot say enough about her! It was the best decision I could have ever made. Nicole

On 9-11 my entire world changed. My husband, who is in the army, was on a United Airlines flight at 9 AM on that fateful morning. After nearly 2 days, we were finally told his unit had arrived safely at their destination--Kosovo--to be the first line between the warring Bosnians and Serbians. Less than two months later, he was re-assigned to Afghanistan. Since then, he has deployed 5 times, always for more than a year. Casualties, funerals, POW's and frightening nights became my constant companion. So, I began to eat. Each time I would promise myself that I would lose the weight and get in shape, and each time I would fail miserably. In fact, over the last 7 very difficult years, I gained more than 100 lbs. I was on 7 different medications that cost in excess of $12,000 per year. I had my sons walk to the mailbox to gather the daily mail because I was too winded to do it. Finally, I had had enough! I began to "exercise." The first day, I made it to the mailbox and cut my caloric intake to 2000 calories per day. By the end of the month, I had dropped 10 lbs. and was able to walk around the block. By the end of the first year, I was 100 lbs. lighter and walking up to 5 miles per day. Then, we got word that my husband was to deploy yet again. My biggest fear was coming true--I had reached a plateau with my weight and now I was sure I would gain all of it back because of the deployment--I was terrified. Then, I saw Rebeca's ad for Wherever Wellness. In the midst of moving and saying goodbye to my husband, it was all I could do to pick up the phone and talk to her. Rebeca told me she could help--that I should go to her website and read her story, because she had experienced the same stress and fears as I had. From that first day, she had me on track. Not just with exercise, but with eating and where I was emotionally. She never let me give up or get bored. She insisted that I listen to my body and my heart. She constantly and carefully moved me forward. She let me know that we were in this together. For the first time I felt that I wasn't on this journey alone. When I am having my most difficult moments, I always get an encouraging phone call or email reminding me that this is just a moment in time. She never fails to point out whatever new lesson I need to take from the experiences and challenges. In the 11 weeks I have been training with Rebeca, remarkable things have happened. Not only did I not gain weight, I broke loose that plateau I was on. I have lost 10 lbs. and 3 inches off my waist. Best of all, I am now off all that medication I use to take and can see muscles I never thought I would ever use again. Just recently Rebeca developed a beach workout that we like to call "The Beach Bootcamp." It's a special workout to help me prepare for my husband's mid-term R&R that is coming at the end of April. I plan, with Rebeca's help, to be that gorgeous "hottie," and to be waiting in the airport with open (and healthy, toned) arms! Thanks, Rebeca

I must be honest…I HATE
exercising! I have
used personal trainers on
and off for
the past 15
years…it’s the only way for
me to go. It’s much easier
to be held accountable, than
to join a gym where in most
cases you are only a
number! I started working out with Beca in July and have had great results. She definitely knows her business. I’m not her best client, because I do have mind of my own, but she works with that and keeps each workout session challenging without killing me. The best part…she comes to me…how much better can that be? No need for cute little outfits or make-up…that’s a time and $ saver for me.
Yes, I really hate
exercising, but I know I
have to. Not only do I look
better, but I feel better,
too. Definitely can feel
the aches and pains when I’m
not working out. If you are serious about exercising and nutrition, I highly recommend Beca Porter. She’s a true professional…dedicated, caring, motivating and patient.

When Rebecca asked me to write a testimonial for her website – I immediately said yes. However, I have found it difficult to put into a few simple words just how great her company is. By working with Rebecca I have been able to achieve results I haven’t seen in years. She has designed a program that I can Live with. I would recommend Beca to anyone seeking a health and fitness program. Rebecca Porter at Wherever Wellness is the best personal trainer I have worked with. I never thought I could replace the trainer I had when I moved here. Not only have I found a replacement but I got a better trainer as well, I have experienced results working with Beca that I was not able to achieve in the past with just as much time and effort. She really knows how to tailor design a program specifically for the individual. Worth every penny!! Barbara N. __________________________________
Having Rebeca Porter as my personal trainer has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. She has changed my life for the better! I have been training with Rebeca for eight weeks now and in those eight weeks I have lost 15 lbs. and 18 inches from my body! Rebeca really cares for her clients; I have scoliosis, and when I used to work out by myself I would always have an aching back after I was done. Rebeca did her homework and found the best ways for me to work out. Not only does my back not hurt anymore, but it is also stronger than it's ever been. She also takes a personal interest in her clients. She has taught me the correct way to eat and has given me ideas on how to put workouts together on my own. I look forward to my time with her--she is always changing my workouts so I don't get bored and she also recognizes when I'm ready to advance to the next level. Rebeca has taught me a new way to live my life; a healthier, more active, yet easier way of life--a way I know I will be able to stick with. I consider myself lucky to have her as my personal trainer and would recommend her to anyone who wants to see true results! Heather R. __________________________________
When I was in high school I was very athletic and in shape from playing volleyball and softball and weighed 115 pounds on my 5 foot 2 inch frame. I maintained this weight throughout my college attendance. After I was married in 1992, we attempted to conceive and failed several times and I consoled myself with food. The MD placed me on fertility drugs for 3 years intermittently and I gained over 40 pounds due to the high estrogen and progesterone levels in my bloodstream from the fertility drugs. Their side effect is weight gain. With the weight gain, I also developed hypertension and required medication to treat it and heart failure. It was very easy for me to become winded with the slightest bit of exertion. No matter how hard I tried, how much I exercised, or how many different diet plans I tried, I could not lose the weight and I remained miserable and unhealthy. Then I met Rebeca and she gave me the tools to lose the weight and regain my health so I can be more active with my 2 boys and husband instead of standing around watching them have fun. After only 4 sessions, I could tell a definite change in my body shape and definition. Now, I have lost almost 35 pounds in 3 months with proper nutrition and the exercises she taught me and I no longer require blood pressure medication. Believe me, if I can lose the weight and get healthy, you can too! Monica

Working with Rebeca has changed my life! She has taught me the habits of a healthy person, the person I have become with her help. Rebeca is determined, supportive, encouraging, knowledgeable, skilled, creative and caring. I have a very busy schedule and she has made it possible for me to be successful by tailoring a nutrition and exercise program to fit my physical and scheduling needs. I never knew how simple and easy it could be to implement and maintain a healthy lifestyle! There is so much misinformation circulating about nutrition and exercise and Rebeca has sorted fact from fiction. My new healthy lifestyle habits are ones I will maintain for the rest of my life. Through her guidance, my commitment and desire to achieve my goals is made more strong and resolute. This was the best decision I’ve made for myself in years. Rebeca continues to champion my success, inspire and challenge me to become my best. I am forever grateful to her for the knowledge and power she has instilled in me. Rebeca Porter is the best!
